Learn the basics knitting from a local knitter and author, Cori Eichelberger. During this 4 session class first time knitters will learn how to make a simple hat and discuss ideas for future projects. Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, cast off and knit a hat and practice using knitting supplies provided by the library. Registration required. Sponsored by the Friends of the Chanhassen Library
High school students Claire Ferderer and Lily Skelskey will perform music featuring clarinet and flute. Highlights will include Chaminade Flute Concertino Op. 107, a technically demanding flute solo with a haunting melody, and Fantasy by Carl Nielsen, a soothing clarinet piece that perfectly captures a tranquil and dream-like scene. The performance will open and close with a flute and clarinet duet.
