Music in May - Nirmala Rajasekar Presents Carnatic Music and the National Instrument of India (at Chanhassen Library and on Facebook Live)
In a special Mother's Day Weekend concert with her daughter, Shruthi Rajasekar, renowned composer and musician Nirmala Rajasekar provides an introduction to the genre known as Carnatic Music and the beautiful instrument the Saraswati Veena. Nirmala has been playing on the Saraswati Veena since she was just six years old, collaborates with musicians from many styles of music, and performs around the world. Take this opportunity to listen to her locally at this special musical event.
